Certified e-Document Authority

CeDA

As a “Certified e-Document Authority” designated by the government, KTNET provides safe and secure creation, storage, transaction and circulation of e-Documents with legal validity.
Unlike mere Digital Archiving, “CeDA” guarantees the authenticity, originality, and legal validity of e-Documents handled by, and this is very important technical infrastructure for e-B/L Title Registry.

Authorized e-Documents Depository

  • The ceda retains documents with legal force.
    • Framework Act  on Electronic Commerce
      • A corporation which, under the accreditation by MKE(Ministry of Knowledge and Economy) and on behalf of other entities, archives or certifies the existence of electronic documents and performs other business related thereto.

    • TTP
      • A Trusted Third Party (TTP) which archives electronic documents in a secure way and certifies the contents and delivery & receipt thereof to promote the use of e-docume nts.

    • Roles
      • The roles of CeDA include such services as storage and certification of e-documents, and provision of IT infrastructure and solutions which can replace paper documents by granting legal force to e-documents.

The Efficiency Of e-Documents

  • Despite the efficiency of e-documents, production and storage of paper documents has continued due to the fear of forgery or fabrication of e-documents and the laws and regulations impeding the use thereof.
  • If secure archiving of e-documents can ensure reliability against forgery, it can be a breakthrough in revitalizing e-documents.
  • Active use of an e-document can greatly improve office productivity due to its efficiency in production, transmission, search and utilization.
  • Use of e-documents for credit card slip and other documents for various financial transactions will drastically save trade expenses

Docuon Service

The e-documents (including scanned documents) stored in KTNET's Authorized Electronic Documents Depository are recognized as legal storage, the same as the storage of paper documents. Since diverse business transactions can be processed using e-documents, various inefficiencies that occur from use of paper documents can be eliminated.
